This was our visit to Bandhavgarh. We have heard many things about Bandhavgarh. Let us see what it has stored for us. We have done total 6 safaris in the popular Tala zone. This blog has been pending since long but, at last I started. It is better late than never.
It was early morning on 13th. April, 2010 and we are all set to enter the park.

| And we have started rolling in the forest... |
Soon after going a few kilometers, driver stopped the jeep and pointed his finger towards some marks on the road -- it was pug marks of a tiger - fresh. Beware !!! -- tiger is around - may be watching us from a hide out.

At one location, we noticed that many jeeps are waiting. everyone was standing up on the jeep and looking towards one direction - as if trying spot something. On asking another driver, we came to know that they are all waiting for tiger. They have all heard alarm calls and chances are high that tiger is around. There is also a very small stream of river.

We saw tiger (it was a cub) in our first morning safari itself, but the cub was too far and my little Nikon could not captured him properly. In the same day's evening safari, we saw 5 tigers (two adults and three cubs) -- all came one by one to the adjacent ground and that was an experience which I am going to remember years. There were tigers around everywhere. People was confused which one to watch and which one to left.

Next day morning, we came to the same location where we had left the tigers in the last day evening. And to our surprise, the male big tiger was still there and he was sleeping.

There are 39 caves in the Bandhavgarh Fort Hill and in surrounding area. Badi Gufa is the largest of them. We all got down from our vehicle and entered the cave, it has 9 small rooms and several pillars. It has been dated back to the 10th. century AD. Its purpose remains a mystery.

While coming back, we saw a snake as well. Snakes are very rarely found during the jeep safari. We must consider ourself lucky.
